Background

Leigh Ann is a Family Nurse Practitioner certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She graduated from Auburn University with a BSN and then completed the Nurse Practitioner Program obtaining a MSN through Troy University. She started her career at Hughston Hospital in Columbus, Georgia. Leigh Ann has been in practice as a nurse practitioner at Horizons Diagnostics since August of 2008 after completing her preceptorship under Janet Fluker PhD, FNP and Dr. Michael Sims. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, AANP and the ANA (GNA).

Leigh Ann is the Chattahoochee Valley Community College Hall of Fame Distinguished Alumni for 2023.

Leigh Ann manages acute and chronic illnesses across the lifespan. Most of all she enjoys teaching health promotion and disease prevention to her patients and their families. She is also committed to assisting others in their educational and career goals through precepting.

Personal

Leigh Ann lives in Phenix City, Alabama with her husband and son. She is a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Phenix City. She is an avid Auburn fan, enjoys traveling, shopping, cooking, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.
