Travis Blanton, M.D.

Dr. Travis Blanton is a family medicine physician providing primary care at Horizons Diagnostics in Columbus, Georgia. He sees patients at our Enterprise Court office, with medical interests including preventive care, patient education, public health, and sports medicine.

Background

Dr. Blanton was born in Columbus, Georgia, and has lived in various parts of the state throughout his life. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry with a minor in biology from Georgia Southern University, then completed medical school at Mercer University School of Medicine.

He completed his family medicine residency at Piedmont Columbus Regional in Columbus, Georgia, serving as co-chief resident during his final year. His professional memberships include the Gold Humanism Honor Society, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians.
